Xanemos beach is 2.5 kilometres off the town. It has thick pebbles and its waters are blue and crystalline. It usually has a lot of waves, as, despite being in a bay, it is exposed to the wind. It has some umbrellas and a beach bar. Xanemos is located in front of the airport of Skiathos which results in aircrafts passing directly above the bathers, offering a unique experience.

Skopelos island can be spotted across the beach. Also, close to Xanemos beach there is the Kefala area: excavations are taking place here, since at this very spot the wondrous ruins of a prehistoric settlement have been discovered.
